In The Desperation Of Darkness
This collection of poems is from a time when I was alone. Truly alone. A time of failure. And desperation. Disappointment and fatigue. I was too tired to fight anymore. Too hurt. Too lonely. Too busy trying to resuscitate that thirteen year old version of myself I’d lost years ago. Every poem is a chest compression. A breath blown into the lungs of a ghost. This is me, throwing a rope into the depths of depression, hoping to retrieve the me lost within it. I found him, beaten down, bruised, hanging by a thread. I found him in the desperation of darkness. 35 poems / 67 pages originally written between 2003-2008 $4.99 paperback $0.99 eBook |
Free Spirit Trapped
This anthology of poems and verses, collected over the last twenty years, is more than a book. This is a part of me. A diary with an artist’s touch. A magnifying glass aimed at my soul. Exposing parts of my conscience that most of us think, but never say. But someone has to let you know that you’re not alone. So I give you my most private thoughts. My most vulnerable moments. My failures. I share with you my weaknesses, my heartbreaks, my insecurities, my doubts and fears. My broken dreams. For years I wielded the microphone as if it were a sword, my only weapon. My books of poetry, my shield. The intricacy of rhymes woven together transformed my weakest moments into an artform. It gave me strength. It gave me hope. It gave me reason. And now I give it to you. 36 poems / 60 pages $4.99 paperback $0.00 eBook |

A Year Through The Eyes My first full notebook of poetry, written between April 2000 and April 2001, the end of my sophomore year of high school and most of my junior year. It marked the end of an era for me, and the start of a new one. The original poetry book consisted of about 75 poems dealing with topics I felt too personal to include in my music, however, about halfway through the book, I began to take that personal approach on my songs which marked the beginning of my two year hiatus from poetry. currently in the process of editing and rewriting |
Microphone Relics Ranging from 1998 to 2014, 25 albums, countless verses from braggadocios punchlines to love and pain and betrayal, this is the best of them. The verses where I laid it all on the line and poured my heart out in powerful displays of lyrical dominance. These are some of the greatest verses from one of the greatest rappers that never made it. It looks like it will be somewhere between 50 and 100 verses. currently in the process of compiling and typing |
Content In The Rain One of my earliest books, Poverty's Poetry (not yet released), is loosely based on my life. This book of poems is one of three written by the main character, Matthew Morris. Content In The Rain takes place when he moves back to the streets for his sophomore year of high school after having escaped the city that damn near claimed his life. currently waiting for the release of Poverty's Poetry |
